I want to help build up my fellow dietitians. My hope for the future is that every Arkansan can have access to a dietitian for their nutritional needs and know where to find one they can trust. Arkansas dietitians need to stand together and present themselves to the state on what dietitians actually do and how they can help the community around them.

 Personal Message/why you would like to win this position: I would love to serve as the president-elect next year on the Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Board to continue supporting the growth of the dietetics profession. I’ve been honored to hold positions on both the Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics board and the Northwest Arkansas District Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I really enjoy working alongside fellow, passionate dietitians to help promote the positive impact that dietitians can have in our communities and our country. I would be honored to have the opportunity to use my past and current experiences to continue generating a positive impact through the dietetics profession as the ArAND president-elect. Personal Message/why you would like to win this position: In my current position, I actively cultivate relationships with communities across Central and Southeastern Arkansas to identify strengths and ways to work together to achieve common goals. To strengthen these communities, I communicate effectively and use my critical thinking and evaluation skills to put the needs of the community first. As nomination committee member, my goal will be to engage members and recruit for diverse and qualified candidates to amplify our contribution to advance ArAND’s vision of optimizing the health of Arkansans through food and lifelong nutrition.

Personal Message/why you would like to win this position: As a student and a professional, I've been fortunate enough to work alongside a few of the greatest leaders that the Academy has seen. Their passion and drive to push our field forward has been inspiring and I feel that it is my duty to pick up the baton and run my leg of the race. As your Delegate, I will work to ensure that Arkansas is represented well and I will seek out opportunities to challenge our national leadership as well as my colleagues here in Arkansas to continue the advancement of our profession.
